Summary of Experience

As a United States Marine Corps veteran, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Construction Management), from Oklahoma State University.  As a Construction Manager I’ve been part of leadership on three mega capital improvement programs in Oklahoma and Texas.

Through these experiences I developed a passion and hunger for complex, fast-paced, challenging environments.  To satisfy my passion I formed Central Plains Construction Company a successful heavy-highway construction company operating in the Midwest.  In 2004, I combined my experience as general contractor, and engineering consultant with my Construction Management education by forming Construction Management Professionals.  Through this diversity, I’ve become uniquely qualified to outperform traditional A/E or GC led delivery models for design-build programs saving Owners both time and money otherwise unrealized.

As the sole owner of CM Professionals, I maintain scalability through my social/professional network of degreed professional Construction Managers to effectively execute programs regardless of scope or magnitude anywhere in the world.

Through the testimonial of others, I’ve proven to be one of a handful of construction management professionals with the diverse yet balanced experience to handle the most extreme challenges a project or owner may encounter.  Through my diverse experience and investment of time in the profession I’ve mastered the development of project teams and through them the building of programs regardless of scope or magnitude.  My success is rooted in the ability to build relationships and grow people who in turn accomplish great things.


As an Agency CM, I’m accustomed to carrying the full burden of responsibility to develop and manage the design, and construction teams and insure project integrity.  Most of my projects have come through word of mouth when an Owner in trouble has nowhere to turn.  I’ve managed numerous projects that were shipwrecked and without hope of salvage to a successful conclusion.

Through my experience as a general contractor, I understand what it takes to execute a successful project plan from bid, to project close-out.  As a builder/developer I understand the profit incentives necessary for success as a General Contractor and this has made me extremely effective as an Owners Representative.  My knowledge as a contractor extends from business development through project closeout.  General Contractors have retained me to expand their market share, remedy internal inefficiencies whether through fine tuning management systems or management personnel, providing counsel or otherwise providing them with the expertise to get them out a difficult situation.

As a design professional having worked alongside of, or in the employ of some of the best design firms in the world, I understand the business nature of a design firm and the elements of the design process.  Design firms have employed me to develop Construction Management practices within their firm.
