Retained by the Church Trustees and Construction Committee in June 2007, Construction Management Professionals is the Construction Manager for the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church building expansion project. CM Professionals responsibilities include assembling the Architectural/MEP/Structural and Civil Engineering design team, coordinate and manage design activities through the plan review and permitting process with Frederick County Division of Permitting and Development Review (DPDR). CM Professionals developed the Project budget, Project Cost Management Control Systems, Financial Reporting procedures and the Master Project Schedule. Once approvals are obtained for site plan, and building and development plan review is underway with the County, the project will be released to pre-approved General Contractors for bid.
The project bid in August 2009, construction started in October 2009. Mt. Carmel received their Certificate of Occupancy in early July 2010 in time for their vacation bible school.
